The Evgeny Greshilov Interview
Born in Siberia, Evgeny Greshilov is one of the hottest male pole dancers in the industry - and we’re not just talking about his body! Winner of Pole World Champion not once, not twice, but three times, he is also an award winning choreographer. In fact, it was Evgeny’s choreography that won Anastasia Skukhtorova the "2 World Pole Cup" in Rio de Janeiro in 2013. A powerful, passionate man, enjoy reading this inspiring interview!
Champion Lesson: The Thinker
"This issue we’re excited to bring you a unique move from the one and only Evgeny Greshilov! As a world class choreographer and instructor, this is a great opportunity to learn one of Evgeny’s moves to easily add to your repertoire!"
Spinning Shoulder Mount Inversion - Pole Lesson
The awesome Elisabeth Magalhaes from Muse Fitness in Canada is back at Pole Dance Fitness magazine with another fantastic lesson. Make sure that you are comfortable with doing a shoulder mount inversion as well as the cup grip!
Recipe: Raspberry Protein Smoothie
This Raspberry Protein Souffle is currently my fave dessert of all time. Seriously, it’s amazing and it will BLOW YOUR MIND.
Intermediate Flow Routine
Following on from last month’s beginner’s flow routine, Vane Lunatica takes us to the next level in this easy lesson! These flow routines are an awesome way to make your choreography look effortless and elegant, and by following the routine from beginner to advanced, give you more confidence to express yourself on the pole.
Behind the Lens
When I was asked to write an article from the viewpoint of a photographer, I really had to stop and think. What insightful discussion can I bring to you through my experience as a pole photographer? What am I looking for when taking someone’s photo, while they’re up high on a pole, waiting for me to press the button? What does it take to capture you at your best whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro? Over the next few issues, I’ll be bringing you my best bits of advice for your next pole photoshoot.
The Dreamcatcher - Pole Lesson
he Dreamcatcher is a really fun move. You have a bit of a drop, which is the fun part, but also the part you need to take most care when practicing! As Tammy says, you can use any method you want to get to the position high up on the pole that you need to start from. When you’re first learning, make sure you take it slowly as to avoid injury. Once you feel confident, you can start to quicken the pace and really nail this awesome move!
Pole Dance Supernova Jennifer Toner
Here we present interview and stories from Supernovas from around the world; exceptional women and men whose lives have been touched by pole dancing and who give back to the pole dance community in fun and interesting ways. We hope you enjoy and get some pole-spiration from this awesome people!
Street Poling
As I sit writing this, it's a lovely sunny day and I can't wait to go and get on my pole. As most of us will happily admit, pole is an obsession. Oh yes. When I'm not on the pole, I'm writing articles about it, or emailing about it. Every song I hear I imagine a pole routine. I judge clothes on whether they would be good to pole in. And yes... I see lampposts and I want to pole on them too!
Pole Move Demos
These demonstration videos were contributed by our friends at PoleDanceDictionary.com as supporting material to complement Evgeny Greshilov’s exclusive lesson on the pole trick, The Thinker, at the beginning of this issue. Have fun!
