The Felix Cane Interview
We were like kids in a candy shop when we got the opportunity to feature one of the pole world’s most celebrated pole artists on the front covers of Pole Dance Fitness Magazine: the one and only Felix Cane! Felix is a household name to most poler’s, she’s taken the title of Miss Pole Dance Australia not, once, not twice, but three times, and with her energetic, sexy and sassy performances around the world, she inspires, motivates and just induces general pole-envy everywhere she goes.
Champion Lesson: Felix Cane Workshop
We’re so excited to share with you part of this exclusive Felix Cane workshop! This amazing combo is fresh and unique, and will look amazing in front of an audience.
Active Cobra Stretch - Contortion Training
Angie from Dance For Your Pole in the Netherlands shares a great stretch today, the Active Cobra Stretch. This is a great way to improve your back flexibility over time, and will allow you to do more complicated moves with ease. Angie breaks down this move into easy to digest steps, but be certain to take your time and listen to your body.
Recipe: Banana Nut Mug Mix
Today I’m showcasing another mug cake! Woot! I love these because they literally take no time to “bake”.
The Elastic Movement - Pole Lesson
Vane Lunatica from the RAD Polewear Team is back again this issue, this time with a great move called the Elastic Movement. This is a really great move to add to your repertoire, especially if you’re trying to figure out some different ways to transition from move to move that isn’t necessarily just simple floorwork moves.
Behind the Lens
When I was asked to write an article from the viewpoint of a photographer, I really had to stop and think. What insightful discussion can I bring to you through my experience as a pole photographer? What am I looking for when taking someone’s photo, while they’re up high on a pole, waiting for me to press the button? What does it take to capture you at your best whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro? Over the next few issues, I’ll be bringing you my best bits of advice for your next pole photoshoot.
Hip Hop Routine Part-2
We’re excited to have the always awesome Kristy Sellars back with us here at PDFM again this issue, with part two of a killer hip hop routine. This is a great cardio workout, and will really help to get your timing to music down whilst strengthening your legs and booty. Make sure you check out issue 24 to really nail the whole routine.
Pole Dance Supernova Yasmeen Juman
Here we present interviews and stories from Supernovas from around the world; exceptional women and men whose lives have been touched by pole dancing and who give back to the pole dance community in fun and interesting ways. We hope you enjoy and get some pole-spiration from these awesome people!
Happy Training
If you're anything like me, you'll see lots of super hard moves and try to nail them all. And I mean all, one after the other. And if you're still like me, you'll fail at them all... one after the other. Yes, if I'm lucky there may be one slightly easier move that creeps onto my 'to master' list, but most of them are - as expected - super hard!
Pole Move Demos
These demonstration videos were contributed by our friends at PoleDanceDictionary.com as supporting material to complement Felix Cane’s exclusive workshop at the beginning of this issue. Have fun!
