Michelle Shimmy - The Interview
Michelle Shimmy is one of the hottest pole dancers in the world right now - and we’re not just talking about her killer moves on the pole! Hailing from Australia, Michelle is a world renowned performer, trainer and artist, and seems to sprinkle success on everything she touches.
Champion Lesson: Outside Leg Hang - Pole Lesson
"We’re so excited to feature an exclusive lesson from Michelle Shimmy in this issue! The outside leg hang is one of your best friends when you get to inverting on the pole. In this video Michelle gives you some key tips on how to master this move and make it look clean and neat! Being able to control this move is also a great work-out for both your arms and abs."
Bobbi's Signature Pole-to-Floorwork Part 3
This is the third and final installment of a three part lesson series from the always-amazing Bobbi, owner and founder of the world renowned Bobbi’s Pole Studio chain in Australia and Singapore! Bobbi demonstrates a Backward Rollover Pike, which requires a lot of strength in the lower back and upper thighs.
Recipe: Fruit Leather Snacks
We’re getting ready for sunshine with some fresh, fruity snacks from Cassey Ho. This time she’s showing us all how to make fruit leathers, in an all natural, all vegan recipe. This a perfect, guilt-free recipe to satisfy those sugary cravings. Enjoy!
Changing Cupid - Pole Lesson
This is another great Flow movement from Vane Lunatica, part of the RAD Polewear Team. This is a fantastic way to kickstart your journey into fluid, confident pole performances, as well as working on your upper body strength.
Backwards Somersault - Pole Lesson
Here, the lovely Sophie from Pole Guru teaches a great move called the Backwards Somersault. This is an easy and elegant way to move from one position to another when on the floor, and look great while doing it. It certainly looks impressive, and be performed in a pure athletic style, or a bit sexier if you add a dramatic head roll or hair flip at the end. Besides performing, this is a great move to train those abs and can be used as a warm up for very ab-centric moves!
Pole Dance Supernova
Here we present interviews and stories from Supernovas from around the world; exceptional women and men whose lives have been touched by pole dancing and who give back to the pole dance community in fun and interesting ways. We hope you enjoy and get some pole-spiration from these awesome people!
Strength or Flexibility?
If I had to put myself in either the strong or flexible category, I'd have to go for strong. Don't get me wrong - being strong is exactly what I want. I'm amazed by the moves I can now do - I would never have dreamed I'd be able to do most of them.
Pole Move Demos
These demonstration videos were contributed by our friends at PoleDanceDictionary.com as supporting material to complement Michelle Shimmy’s champion lesson at the beginning of this issue. Have fun!
